Becoming a Seller

Before any plans are made, it is critical to pause and reflect on a few items. Why are you selling your home? What is your plan if you move forward with putting your home on the market? The answers to those two questions are the focal point of a great real estate agent’s strategy.

Why Sell?

Defining the who, what, when, where and why of putting your home on the market are critical to thinking through your next move. Timing is always a valuable factor and functions as a luxury in many instances. Moves can be made out of necessity, so working with a trusted and ethical agent is important when adhering to your final timeline and goals.

When Should I Sell?

Your motivation can dictate the “when” question. Hopefully, you have ample time to plan and prepare for your move. If, however, you need to move quickly, your agent should be able to accommodate the quickest transition possible while keeping your best interests at hand.

What Is The Market Like?

That depends! Are you looking to buy, sell, invest, rent, or seek some other venture? As with anything else, the devil is in the details! If you are getting canned answers from an agent, you could be asking the wrong person. Remember, if you want an informed opinion from your agent, they need to have as many details as possible.
